Drake's

The only reason I am giving this place a “2” is because the server and host was extremely nice. The atmosphere was nice for an intimate dinner but it was a little too dark in my opinion. Our food arrived promptly within 15 minutes and it was COLD! Normally, my bf would have a fit and refuse to pay for food that was equivalent to pulling it out of the fridge. The Manhattan was good and strong, but definitely not worth $16. The dress code listed on the website didn’t match the appearances of the guest at this establishment. Overall, I’ve had better food at Denny’s compared to this place. At least their food is hot and fresh.

Absolutely a fantastic dining experience. I absolutely love that they enforce a dress code. No one in pajama bottoms and cross. This is what fine dining us meant to be. Top notch service with excellent food, where etiquette is required. The atmosphere is fantastic. The ambiance and live music are reminiscent of Hollywood steak house of old. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking, coat check, and fantastic deserts make this a favorite place of mine going forward.

When we got to Drake’s, the hostesses weren’t very welcoming or acknowledged us. We sat down after about 5 minutes, and waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us. While we were waiting, a server spilt drinks she bussed and my legs and dress got wet and no apology. Vibe and mood were not going well, until our server stopped by with water. Fernando, was amazing. He changed our experience for the better, was very attentive, kind and cared about our experience. Brought our drinks, appetizer, food, dessert and even another round. He also packed our leftovers very neatly for us. Great date night in the end, and it definitely was because of the great food and service from Fernando.

I came to celebrate my birthday with my husband and friends. The atmosphere was good. The music was a little loud but that’s okay. We were excited! We ordered an assortment of entrees and sides. I’m from Chicago and the waiter told us the pizza was Chicago thin crust. That’s what I chose to get in addition to the multiple sides we got. The food was good. The cheese fries and cauliflower were amazing. The twice baked potatoes were okay but had so much cheese on them it ruined the goodness of the potatoes. We asked for the pizza to be boxed up along with several of the sides. There was only about five pieces of the pizza eaten. So nearly an entire pizza that is 25.00. When we got home, the pizza was not even in our bag! Knowing the level of restaurant Drake’s is, I emailed and answered the survey they sent letting them know about the pizza missing from our bag. Now in the scheme of things, it’s not really about the pizza. It’s about the server not boxing it up for us. Again. It was nearly an entire pizza. He didn’t just miss that. I get mistakes happen, but then for nobody to respond to the survey or my email regarding the experience is what made me decide to review here. So, what could have been a much higher rated experience is tarnished by a few people who either didn’t care enough to handle a situation correctly or didn’t know how to. A response would have been enough to make me give them another chance. There are so many amazing restaurants in Dallas. I’ll choose to spend my money trying some other ones.

I had a girls night at Drake’s and it was a 10/10!! The atmosphere was very intimate with dim lighting but enough to see everything like the food and menus well. Our server was Joey and he was immaculate!!! It was a group of 4 and 3/4 have never been here before and he made this experience wonderful for us. He gave great suggestions and just had great energy overall. We already want him to serve us when we go back again. I got the ozzys pizza and it was amazing. The filet mignon on there was perfect and well seasoned. I also had the truffle lobster Mac and cheese and it is mouth watering. I would go up there just to get it and then go back home. I had a lemon drop drink and it was really good. 2 of my friends got the strawberry 24 layer cake and I don’t like strawberries but it wasn’t bad and they loved it. The overall experience was amazing.

I really liked the concept of this restaurant. The interior was stunning. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and a cozy feel. The restaurant itself isn’t too big and with its popularity, reservations do fill up fast. I would recommend booking about a month in advance to get an ideal time for a dinner reservation. Drake’s strictly enforces a dress code of formal attire to add to the luxury dining experience. This restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. It is on the pricier end though. For appetizers, we ordered the Vin Scully Fries, Caesar Salad, and the Cauliflower Dynamite. The fries were amazing! The fries are loaded with bacon, smoked cheddar, jalapeños, chives, and ranch dressing. It’s one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had! The Cauliflower Dynamite and Caesar Salad were great too. For my entree, I ordered Pasta Za Za which is spicy rigatoni with chili flakes & parmesan. It was really good and had a nice kick to it. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate silk pie. It had a smooth consistency, and it was delicious! Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience at Drake’s. The food was amazing, the service was great, and I loved the atmosphere. ~ RATING: 9.5/10✨~
